The Fly Agaric

A cluster of these mushrooms appear every year under a group of Birch trees at the gate. They are the original red Toadstool and beloved by the local deer, squirrels and rabbits. I had to cover some of the emerging fungi with plant pots pegged down with tent pegs in order to save some for myself.

The Fly Agaric (Amanita Muscaria) is a hallucinogenic mushroom and I've written about it here.

This print is made using a wild mushroom picked sustainably in the garden. The frame (purchased) is 33cm high x 33cm length x 3.5cm deep which can be hung or stand. I used grey card and a grey frame with Glass which can be hung or stand.
