The Fly Agaric

This was a great year for this classic toadstool - The Fly Agaric - or Amanita Muscaria. Lots appeared under the Birch trees by the gate. I covered some of them with flower pots as they emerged and before the squirrels, rabbits and deer could demolish them.

This is a portion of one of the bigger ones trampled by a passing animal. I left it uncovered by an open window and I am very happy with the result.

This print is made using wild mushrooms picked sustainably in the garden.

The frame (purchased) is 42.5cm high x 32.5cm length x 4cm deep which can be hung. I used black foam board and a black frame with glass.
