The Death Cap

This spore painting is of a single Death Cap mushroom growing in a circle under a beech tree. I bent down to pick it and noticed half a dozen more hidden under a conifer beside it.

The Death Cap is the deadliest mushroom in Europe. There is no antidote to its effects and is the most common cause of accidental death by fungi in Europe.

Always ensure you are 100% confident of your identification before you eat any wild mushroom.

This spore painting is made using a wild mushrooms picked sustainably in the garden. The frame (purchased) is 32cm high x 43cm length x 2cm deep which can be hung. I used a black board and a black frame.
